WWE management recently came down on wrestlers who use Twitter. The new direction is that they are still allowed to use it, but that the company wants them to use it as a promotional vehicle for the product and not to discuss their personal lives and more so about late night drinking after 12AM. Twitter use among many WWE wrestlers went way down after the "midnight ban" came into play.
Well, if this is true, it sucks b/c I love it..I used to hate it. I thought it was stupid Twitter?!?!!? Ha! Not me! That's for losers..I've become a loser!!I'll admit I'm addicted to it. Wrestlers usually have fun or witty updates. C'mon it's compelling when Joy Giovanni is "running late to an event" but stops to post a pic of herself actually running late. (how stupid is that?) There's all kinds of fun stuff on Twitter, plus drunk or inside meaning tweets are the best! Seriously, I actually think it could enhance the product if they embraced it properly. It's there, it's hot and it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. As an aside, I wonder who actually went to Vince and said, "Sir, we HAVE to get this Twitter thing under control!!"?
