Combat Zone Wrestling returned to Townsend, DE for Tournament of Death
8.5 aka Tournament of Death: Rewind this afternoon; in an event
postponed 24 hours due to rain and thunderstorms in the
Philadelphia/Baltimore area yesterday.



Tournament of Death 8.5 first round:



CARIBBEAN PITS DEATH MATCH

Sami Callihan defeated Danny Havoc after Joe Gacy ran to the ring
and pulled the ref out of the ring as Havoc initially covered Callahan.
Callihan then hit the headlock driver onto light tubes. Callihan now
becomes the Ultraviolent Underground Champion, which will then be
defended throughout the tournament



NEW AGE TEXAS DEATH MATCH

MASADA defeated Brain Damage after a death valley driver onto an opened chair.



PANE IN THE GLASS DEATH MATCH

Nick Gage defeated Zandig after a chokebreaker. Post match, Hyde
came to the ring, and said he doesnt have a plaque for Zandig but he
does have the ironman title, and says Zandig is the ironman of CZW.



FOUR CORNERS OF FUN DOG COLLAR DEATH MATCH

Thumbtack Jack defeated Jon Moxley after Moxley got tied up in the
dog collar chain, with Thumbtack Jack threatened to bash his head in
with a cinderblock. Moxley then submitted.



Non Tournament Match:

Scotty Vortekz defeated Greg Excellent and Rich Swann (no Ryan
McBride) by pinning Rich Swann after hitting the Spanish Fly on Swann
off the top rope onto Greg.

TRANSYLVANIA (CASKET) DEATH MATCH

Thumbtack Jack defeated Sami Callahan in a Casket Match to become the Ultraviolent Underground Champion



HOME RUN DERBY DEATH MATCH

MASADA defeated Nick Gage after Gage passed out when MASADA had him in the Texas Cloverleaf.



Non Tournament Match:

Devon Moore defeated xOMGx after a running brainbuster onto an
opened chair. Drake and Scotty run to the ring to save xOMGx, but Devon
bails with xOMGx's mask in hand

MAIN EVENT/200 LIGHT TUBE "HOUSE OF PAIN" DEATH MATCH

Thumbtack Jack defeats MASADA to win Tournament of Death 8.5 and retain the Ultraviolent Underground Championship



Nick Gage comes out post-match, attacks referee Brett Lauderdale
with light tubes. Thumbtack Jack challenges Nick Gage to a match at
Cage of Death. In a good tease for December, DJ Hyde says that
Thumbtack Jack vs Gage is going to happen right now, and he's going to
be the referee, followed by Gage teasing getting into the ring, but
then walks to the back.
