CMLL announced today the creation of the CMLL Universal Championship, which will be awarded to the winner of a tournament which finishes up on June 19th featuring all the current title holders. Block A starts June 5th and Block B starts June 12th. Participants include:

Averno = CMLL & NWA Middleweight Champion
La Sombra = NWA Welterweight Title, CMLL Tag Champion
Negro Casas = CMLL Welterweight Champion
Sangre Azteca = Mexican National Welterweight Champion, Mexican National Trios Champion
Mascara Dorada = CMLL Super Lightweight Champion
Volador Jr. = CMLL Tag Champion
Hector Garza = CMLL Trios Champion
Hijo del Fantasma = CMLL Trios Champion
La Mascara = CMLL Trios Champion
Black Warrior = Mexican National Trios Champion
Dragon Rojo = Mexican National Trios Champion
